MAY 2016

Congratulations on graduating high school! Before you begin your summer vacation, the NCAA Eligibility Center needs your ACT/SAT scores and all your official high school transcripts to complete your certification once you have completed your registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center.

If you are not sure we have all your documents, log in to your account at eligibilitycenter.org to check for any open tasks, your eligibility status and find helpful resources.

Ask your high school counselor to upload or submit your official final transcript, with proof of graduation, to the NCAA Eligibility Center. To complete your certification, we need an official transcript from every high school or program you have attended.

You may take the ACT or SAT as many times as you want before you enroll full time in college, but remember to list the NCAA Eligibility Center (code 9999) as a score recipient whenever you take a test. If you direct the ACT or SAT to send us your scores every time you take a test, we will choose the best scores from each test subject to create your sum score. We can only accept official test scores from ACT or SAT and we cannot use the scores from your high school transcript. SAT scores earned on or after March 2016 will be evaluated based on concordance tables established by the College Board.

Follow these steps to make sure we receive your test scores:

 SAT

  1. Log in to College Board’s website.
  2. Use code 9999 to select the NCAA Eligibility Center as a score recipient. You can do this before or after you register for the test.
  3. Check your NCAA Eligibility Center account at eligibilitycenter.org to make sure your account has been updated with your official test scores. It could take up to two weeks to appear as being received in your account.
  4. If you need additional help, call College Board’s customer service office at 866-756-7346.

ACT

  1. Log in to the ACT website.
  4. If you need additional help, call ACT’s customer service office at 319-337-1270.

We will not begin your certification until an NCAA Division I or II school requests your certification and we have everything we need to complete your certification:

  • Online registration.
  • Fee payment.
  • Official ACT/SAT scores.
  • Official transcript from every high school you attended.
  • Proof of graduation.

It takes us about 10 business days to complete a certification. Please check your NCAA Eligibility Center account in case we need additional information or to check your status. Click here for a brief explanation of each status.
