2017 GRADUATES// WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO COMPETE

2017 GRADUATES
Congratulations on graduating high school! Before relaxing on summer vacation, the NCAA Eligibility Center needs a few things from you to complete your certification and make sure you're ready to enroll and compete at an NCAA Division I or II school this fall.

To get started, log in to your Certification Account at eligibilitycenter.org. Review the second box in your Dashboard to see if we have your transcript(s) and test score(s) on file. If not, follow the directions for each below.

TRANSCRIPTS
We need your official high school transcript(s) on file to certify you. Ask your high school counselor to submit your official high school transcript with proof of graduation to the NCAA Eligibility Center after you graduate. If you attended more than one high school or program, we need an official transcript from each.   International students, please review our document submission requirements here.

TEST SCORES
To complete your academic certification we also need your official test scores. We only accept official test scores from the SAT or ACT and cannot use scores listed on your high school transcript. To view our sliding scales for Division I and Division II and learn more about how we use test scores, please visit our website

If you need help sending your SAT or ACT test score to the NCAA Eligibility Center, follow these steps:

SAT
  1. Log in to the College Board website.
  2. Use code 9999 to select the NCAA Eligibility Center as a score recipient. You can do this before or after you register for the test.
  3. It could take up to two weeks for your official test score to appear as received in your NCAA Eligibility Center account. Check your account to see if your test score has been updated.
  4. If you need additional help, call College Board's customer service office at 866-756-7346.
  5. Tip: If you took the SAT on or after March 2016 you need to check your score on the College Board concordance table before you see where your score falls on our sliding scales.
ACT
  1. Log in to the ACT website
  2. Use code 9999 to select the NCAA Eligibility Center as a score recipient. You can do this before or after you register for the test.
  3. It could take up to two weeks for your official test scores to appear as received in your NCAA Eligibility Center account. Check your account to see if your test score has been updated.
  4. If you need additional help, call ACT's customer service office at 319-337-1270.

YOUR CERTIFICATION TIMELINE
We will not begin your certification until it is requested by an NCAA Division I or II school. Please share your NCAA ID number with schools recruiting you. We need the following in your Certification Account to begin your certification once a school requests it:

  • Fee paid. Please note: if you have a Profile Page, you will need to transition to a Certification Account to move forward in the certification process.
  • Official SAT or ACT scores.
  • Official transcript from each school or program you attended.
  • Proof of graduation on your transcript.

Once we have all of this information, it takes us about 10 business days to complete an academic certification. Please check your NCAA Eligibility Center account in case we need additional information from you or to check your status. View a brief explanation of status definitions

If you have not yet requested your final amateurism certification, please follow these directions to request final amateurism and ensure your account is pulled for review. Once you receive a final academic decision and final amateurism decision you will know whether or not you are able to compete at your school this fall.
